The British Chamber’s Annual General Meeting is set to take place on the 25th May, just under two weeks after our Spring Networking Cocktail. Make sure you keep the date free and join us to discuss the progress we made as an organisation in 2015.
Last years AGM saw the announcement of the Council election results and the start of Mr Thomas Spiller’s presidency at the chamber. We also celebrated the official opening of our new office premises with British Ambassador to Belgium, HE Alison Rose on hand for the ribbon cutting.
The formal agenda this year will allow us to report on the work that was done in 2015, a year on from last year’s council elections as well as giving a summary of our financial performance for that year. It also gives us a chance to discuss how that work has continued on into forming the programme for 2016 and the progress made in the current year.
We’ll also be taking a look at the big issues facing the chamber in 2016; the UK Referendum being the obvious example. We’ll discuss how the chamber is planning for each outcome and our strategy during the build up to the vote on 23rd of June.
Two of our key organising committees will also be announcing their new Chairs for the next term as Amelie Coulet and Olivier Van Horenbeeck, chairs of Brussels New Generation and the Business Development Group respectively, hand over the reigns to two professionals who will already have an exciting programme lined up for them.
The Annual General Meeting is a free event open exclusively to our members and attendees will be invited to stay a little longer for a networking cocktail. If you’d like to register, click here to visit our events page or contact Francesca (firstname.lastname@example.org)
