NEWS: James Stevens (FleishmanHillard) – re-elected to EU Committee Chair

The British Chamber is happy to announce James Stevens, Senior Vice President & Senior Partner, Director at FleishmanHillard has been re-elected unopposed to the role of EU Committee Chair for a two year mandate. James has been with Fleishman Hillard for over ten years during that time he has led the firm’s chemicals and energy practices as well as working across most of the sectors of the economy and areas of public policy. He also led the development of digital public affairs in the FH Brussels office.

The EU Committee drives a programme of engagement with the activities of the European Union and its institutions. It is an environment in which to meet and discuss issues with EU policy makers, their advisors and other business leaders. The committee attracts members with specialist knowledge covering industry, commerce, legal and financial matters and EU consultancy in general.

During his first term, James developed the first members visit to Berlin and more recently introduced the first the first survey of member attitudes to the EU which he launched in Strasbourg this month. James ‘has form’ with the British Chamber. He was the driving force behind the young professional network at the chamber (Brussels New Generation) which he chaired for the first four years of its existence.
The next term will look to build a programme with the members that encapsulates the institutional changes over the past few months. He will be working with the new EU task force chairs to continue to provide value for the membership and enhance the reputation of the Chamber as whole.
